One of my favs. PeopleHATE these birds..."they're savagers, ugly, will take your lunch right out of your hand when your not watching" etc..
All true but I love 'em. Thought the pose of this painting gave them a regal element to them reminisant of when Ibis were worshipped on ancient Egyptian times.

i like the black ibises better, just the sheen of the feathers look so metallic. well where i live they arn't a pest, havent ever heard someone call them pests actually, only one brisbane friend of mine. however the black feathers on the white ibises are something special (i have one) the stringy and speckled look is amazing, i dont know how people can dislike these birds. i have a thing for ugly birds, the wrinkly faces or just terrible dull colours astound me (if you have seen the friar bird, they are truely something) this is a beautiful drawing, his pose is cute too, you did a lovely job. sorry for the rant :P
